Conan Gray Albums
In his short time as a performer, Conan Gray has developed an incredibly rich discography that consists of 2 studio albums, 1 EP, and over 20 singles. Many of this work has been fast successes with some even charting highly on international music charts. For instance, his EP Sunset Season, released in November 2018, peaked at #2 of the US Heatseekers chart and #57 on the UK Album Downloads chart.
But Conan Gray’s debut studio album, Kid Krow released on March 20, 2020, was arguably what made him the superstar he is today. It is described as a “coming of age” album inspired by Gray’s rough childhood experiences and has themes of surviving abuse, poverty, and discrimination. It also featured the hit singles, “Checkmate”, “Comfort Crowd”, “Maniac”, “The Story”, “Wish You Were Sober”, and “Heather.” The album received praise for Gray’s songwriting and vocal performance and debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and topped the US Pop Albums chart.
His second studio album, Superache, released on June 24, 2022. As a followup to Kid Krow, Gray described the album as an expansion of his yearning heartbreak and touches on themes of childhood trauma, abuse, friendship, and love, as well as the challenges and joys of growing up. The album featured the popular singles “Astronomy”, “People Watching”, “Jigsaw”, “Memories”, and “Yours”. The album was praised for its honest lyricism and debuted at #9 on the US Billboard 200 with 43,000 album-equivalent units sold.
